25 DAYS EXPLORING KENYA

Day 1: Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport

Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) your safari begins here. Our company representative will be waiting at the airport to welcome you and transfer you to your hotel for dinner and overnight. Accommodation: The Boma Nairobi

 

Day 2: Discover Nairobi

Start with a visit to the Karen Blixen Museum which is a set at the foot of the Ngong hills to learn about her works and time when she lived in Kenya. Then the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage to watch a baby elephant play in the mud and feed. After this, proceed to the Giraffe center for an experience feeding the giraffe up close and or even a giraffe kiss. The center serves as a refuge for the endangered Rothchild’s giraffe. The tour will end with a visit to a craft center where women make beautiful crafts and ceramic work. Dinner and overnight as above

 

Day 3: Transfer to Ol Pejeta Conservancy  

Today after breakfast, start the drive to the beautiful Ol Pejeta conservancy. Enjoy the views of nature as you drive to this place with a stopover at the Equator monument for photos and souvenir shopping. Take an evening walk after checking in and or relax at the lodge.

Day 4: Game drive and Chimpanzee Experience 

Take on a game drive in the morning, enjoy watching the different animals in this beautiful nature habitat. Experience the behind the scenes at the Chimpanzee sanctuary learning about these chimps and their life. Ol Pejeta is an amazing conservation project aimed at providing a sanctuary for primates especially chimpanzees, Rhinos and generate incomes through tourism. Lunch, dinner and an overnight as above.

 

Day 5: Transfer to Samburu National Reserve 

Leave Ol Pejeta for the beautiful Samburu national reserve north of Ol Pejeta. On arrival, have lunch and go on an afternoon game drive. Look out for the African leopard, giraffes, lions, elephants, cape buffaloes, impalas, water bucks, warthogs, Grant’s gazelle, olive baboons and different species of birds. Accommodation: Samburu Sopa Lodge or Ashnil Samburu Camp

 

Day 6: Game drive

Spend the day on a game drive in Samburu national reserve. The game drives will give you an opportunity to look out for wildlife such as the big 5, zebras, beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, giraffes, waterbucks etc. and sighting of beautiful landscape sightings. Return to the lodge later in the evening and enjoy a glass of wine over dinner as you reminisce on the day’s sightings. Lunch, dinner and an overnight as above.

 

Day 7 & 8: Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park 

After early breakfast, depart for Lake Nakuru with packed lunch and have a full day tour of the park. Flocks of greater and lesser flamingos are found on this Lake which turns pink hence it is dubbed the pink lake. It is also home to the endangered black and white Rhino, the big cats and other wildlife except the elephants. Accommodation: Lake Nakuru Lodge or Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge

 

Day 9: Explore Hell’s Gate National Park  

Transfer to Hells gate national park and explore the park by taking a nature walk or cycling safari in the park. Enjoy the different wildlife and landscape as you explore this park with scenery right out of the lion king. Visit the geothermal plants and enjoy a swim. Visit the Maasai Mara community center located in the park to learn more about the Maasai tribe and also contribute to its preservation. Accommodation: Chui lodge or Enashipai Resort

 

Day 10: Transfer to Lake Naivasha NP

Full day in Naivasha where you take a rest and have a boat ride in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Resort or Fish Eagle Inn. There is an option of a boat ride on lake Naivasha at an extra cost. Return to the lodge in the evening. Accommodation: Lake Naivasha Crescent Camp or Chui Lodge

 

Day 11: Transfer to Maasai Mara

Maasai Mara which is a drive of about 5-6 hours depending on your arrival. Lunch enroute, after proceed to the park reaching late afternoon, relax, Dinner and overnight at Mara Serena Safari Lodge, Maji Moto Eco Camp

 

Day 12 & 13:  Full day game drives in Maasai Mara

Full day game drives in the Maasai Mara, Picnic lunch in the bush and after proceed with the Game drive. Late evening return to the lodge for dinner and a night at the above lodge.

 

Day 14: Transfer to Nairobi

Early morning breakfast and possibly a short morning game drive if time allows. Depart Tsavo East and drive back to Nairobi via Mombasa-Nairobi highway. Scenic views of Kenyan countryside and towns on the way. Arrive in Nairobi late afternoon or evening. Check into your hotel and rest. Accommodation: The Boma Nairobi

Day 15: Transfer to Amboseli NP

Depart in the morning and drive south to Namanga, the Kenya/Tanzania border to arrive in time for lunch. After lunch enter into Amboseli National Park with a possibility of seeing game on the way to the campsite. Amboseli National Park is one of the most popular wildlife sanctuaries in Kenya. Amboseli National Park is often referred to as “The home of Elephants’ some of the largest Elephant herds are found here. The Game Park also contains vast groups of Zebras, Wildebeests, Giraffes, Buffalos, Hippos and Antelopes. Also to be found in Amboseli are lions, leopards, Cheetahs, Rhinos and many species of plain game. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena lodge, Ol Tukai Lodge, Tortills Camp.

 

Day 16: Full day game driving in Amboseli NP

Early morning breakfast, have picnic lunch to be taken in the bush since its full day game driving.   Amboseli National Park is located at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain. The snows of the mountain form a majestic backdrop to one of Kenya’s most popular spectacular displays of wildlife – lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, cheetah, buffalo and host of plains game, creating Kenya’s most sought-after photographer’s paradise. Dinner and overnight at the above lodge

 

Day 17 & 18: Transfer to Tsavo West

After leaving Amboseli, you will drive about 3 hours to Tsavo West National Park, known for its rugged and scenic landscapes including lava flows, hills, and clear springs. During these two days, you can explore highlights such as Mzima Springs, where hippos and crocodiles can be seen through an underwater viewing chamber. Game drives here offer chances to spot elephants, leopards, buffalo, and the rare black rhino at the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary. For panoramic views, you can visit Roaring Rocks and Poacher’s Lookout. The peaceful environment and fewer crowds make Tsavo West a great spot for quiet wildlife watching. Overnight stays at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge or Ngulia Safari Lodge.

 

Day 19: Transfer to Tsavo East                                                                                

You will head to Tsavo East National Park, a vast open savannah famous for its striking red-soil elephants and wide-ranging wildlife. The drive from Tsavo West takes about three hours via the historic Man-Eaters Bridge, a famous landmark. Over the two days, you’ll enjoy game drives spotting lions, cheetahs, giraffes, hippos along the Galana River, and crocodiles. Other scenic stops include Lugard Falls and Aruba Dam, which offer great birdwatching opportunities and peaceful settings. Tsavo East’s expansive plains and dramatic landscapes provide an iconic African safari experience. Accommodation: Ashnil Aruba Lodge or Satao Camp near the Voi Gate.

 

Day 20: Transfer to Diana Beach via Mombasa

Depart early from Tsavo East and head towards the coast, with a drive of about 6 -7 hours to reach Diani Beach. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed by the contrast of coastal paradise after the dusty safari trails. Diani is Kenya’s most celebrated beach destination, with soft white sand, swaying palm trees, and the clear turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. Check into your beach resort and relax for the rest of the day perhaps enjoy a walk along the shore or a swim in the warm sea. It’s the perfect transition from wild adventure to seaside serenity. Day 21 & 23: Relaxation at Diani Beach

Spend three full days unwinding and enjoying the pleasures of Diani Beach. You can simply relax at your resort, bask in the sun, and take refreshing dips in the ocean or hotel pool. For more active options, Diani offers a range of water activities such as snorkelling, scuba diving at coral reefs, deep-sea fishing, or kite surfing. You can also take a dhow cruise, visit the nearby Kisite-Mpunguti Marine Park, or explore local markets and beachside cafes. Day 24:  Transfer to Nairobi

After breakfast, it’s time to begin your journey back to Nairobi. An overland drive to Nairobi, which typically takes 8 to 10 hours depending on traffic and stops. Along the way, you will pass through towns with opportunities for refreshments. Upon arrival in Nairobi, head directly into a hotel for refreshment, dinner and a night. Accommodation: The Boma Nairobi

 

Day 25: Transfer to Nairobi airport

After breakfast, transfer to airport for departure back home according to your flight time.
